Description

In short, we want to mix this HTTP Java Downloader (http://www.javaatwork.com/java-download-applet/details.html) into our X-Cart store's checking process.

In full:

We want to make it easier for users to download our files, giving them a simple way to choose where their files are downloaded and for them to be able to download more then one file at a time, with a nice progress bar. Right now the current java program does all this (see link above), but it's missing a few thing our current X-cart system does when users download our products.

We want this Java system to

* Allow only a set amount of download attempts
* be able to record and send to our servers the downloader's ip address
* mask the downloads url so that no "View source code" or the like will print out the downloads urls

X-cart is a PHP storefront that uses a smartie template system to pass and hold information. We need this java mod to work with the current php which does do the list above, but is missing the usability we are looking for.

Using the java downloader, we loose those features, using the current php system, we loose the simple to use and easy to see downloading features. We want them to work together and for the two code types to work with each other.

The coder who bids of this job will need to work remotely with the site's current programmer. The programmer will be testing and providing all information needed on the project. Since the bidder will need to work with the current programmer, their will be a delay between tests and communication.

Knowledge of the Java and PHP will be an asset. We would like this done ASAP. Please include your timerange in the bid and also any other previous jobs you have done.
