Description

I am looking for a programmer skilled in the customization of Wordpress and who can set WP up as a CMS (not a blog). A good command of the English language is required for this job. You will be provided a psd file for the home page AND the sliced, optimized graphical elements to do the job. My graphics designer will provide you with whatever files you need, but you will need to know the size, specs, and any special requirements of those files.

You will be responsible for installing any needed or requested plugins.

All CSS & XHTML code must be "strict" and W3C compliant. The site will be tested for 3 days upon delivery/completion. If there are any bugs, problems or issues found during that time, they must be corrected before the job is considered complete and funds are released.

All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. No part of the deliverables may contain any copyright restricted 3rd party components (including GPL, GNU, Copyleft, etc.), unless all copyright ramifications are explained and agreed to by me, the buyer, in writing. The deliverables may not be resold or re-distributed in whole or in part by the Seller to any other party.

All code must be commented. Plugins, template files, and CSS & HTML containers need to be labeled:

You will need to install an FLV player for a video spokesperson.

Upon completion of the customization/development work, I need the files transferred and set up on my server, where I'll do the final testing.

I own a copy of the Thesis theme and will send it to the selected programmer for purposes of development. Please make sure you are familiar with Thesis and how to customize it before bidding on this job. Thesis is designed to allow for customization. If the proper files are edited, those customizations will not be lost when upgrading the theme. As an example, stylesheet.css should NOT be edited. Instead, custom.css should be edited. This job requires that the development work be done in the latest version of WP because the latest version of Thesis will not work with versions below 2.7.

Funds will be put into escrow as soon as a programmer is selected. The budget for this project is not large, but again, you will not have to do any design work. All you need to do is set up the basic structure of the site, install plugins, and make sure the code you do write to customize it is clean, well commented and will validate.

Please provide me with a portfolio of Wordpress sites you have worked on and what you did on the site. Knowledge of Flash and ActionScript is a plus and will lead to future work. Please let me know how long it will take you to complete the job and your availability (i.e., when you can start).
