Description

We supply various goods to UK customers and want to start off our website concentrating on selling car part/accessories to the public and wholesale to resellers online. This is an exciting new project where the chosen designer/developer will be rewarded to build an ecommerce site front end and backend from scratch. No decoding, readjusting or trying to please the companies’ web designers. No restrictions as we the hosting service provider has not been decided until the website is done. A great opportunity to show off your talent.

I am looking for a long term close relationship rather than a one off designer/developer. As I would be interested in doing upgrades for this site and also have plans in a short period be able to sell your services to my resellers who want a website of their own.
Bidder must be experts at using oscommence or cube cart and final website is windows friendly. This is because you would need to integrate the features into the website. (I am open to opinions so if there is a software which would complete the criteria quicker and better, then I am happy to hear about it. However, do bare in mind I will be using the website and as long as it is logical, easy to use like window application I am more than happy to go along with it. I have given you a blank canvass to work from, you tell me what is best.

Criteria
I do apologise if a lot of it below is common and expected or a normal feature of shopping cart or zencart/ oscommence/ cubecart. I just want to make sure that everyone who is bidding knows what I need.
- Shopping cart
- Customers will sign up to make order/ amend their details/ see their history/if they are in credit/ see their saved shopping cart, see their order update.
- Everytime we packed and dispatched their goods an email will be automatically sent to them informing them of this- like ebay
- Flash banner (something like this http://www.290preowned.com Or a flash intro) Also like the look of this site so want it to look as slick as this.
- Online secure payments
- Prices shown in different currencies
- Shipping and tax functionality ( print shipping document/ give price according to weight/dimensions/ additional insurance option, export and UK/ free shipping offers ability to upload a lot of services and give option of various different shipping method with prices.
- Easy back end as anyone with little or no experience with it can figure out how to use it. Add/Edit/Remove categories, products, manufacturers, customers, reviews, promotions, pictures etc...
- Ability to see a bigger picture of the item by just using the mouse to hover over the picture.
- Ability to see what each customers traffic statistics in order for us to try to market them what they want. Ability to see what pages overall was most popular.
- There are three types of customers retailers, dropshippers and end customers (public). Everyone can login to see prices if they are an end user. Visitor can apply to have wholesale prices but when they do only the person in admin who can activate that. Example of this type can be seen on superufo.com. Please make it easy for the administrator to be able to add or take off different type of customers as business evolves. Later I want to be able to add more sub customers groups with their own discount from the orginal price, so it would show the RPP price and the price with their discount.
- We will offer loyalty scheme for our customers. Eg for every £1 spent they will get 1 point. If they have a certain amount of points they can redeem it against any product up to a certain value. Please think this loyalty scheme to type of customers in order for me to decide if I want other types of customers are in the loyalty scheme. - Prices shown to end customers are including vat and retailers and drop shippers will be excluding vat.
- There will be a box on pricing. This will be in MS Excel so that we can mark up the prices either via percentage or via putting the right prices down. Plus when we can do all the prices offline and upload it onto the website.
- Joomla for CMS to fulfil our marketing needs to create coupons, gift cards, newsletters, questionnaires, affiliate referral scheme.
- Structurally the framework of the website must be built with SEO in mind, in order for SEO professional to continuously update the website to get up the search engine rankings. Plus add in RSS feeders.
- Protection on visitors copying content eg words and pictures from the website this would be great.


All bidder must provide user guide and support in order for us to use it. Plus, if for any reason we wouldn’t continue with the relationship I would need your technical instructions so that I can pass it onto another web designer/developer to pick up from where you left off. Pay via Escow at the beginning of the job then only transferring money when the website is completed. Must ensure continuous communication while site is being built is a must, in order to help you to not make assumption and cost you money and time to correct the issue and dampen relationships. SL supplies will own the copyright to the website and intelligence about how to make our website or marketing plans must remain confidential. We will be happy to give testimonials 3 months after the completion to provide a true reflection of our experience with you. Remember I am looking for long term relationship. Apart from selling products I want to be able to use this website to promote and to sell your services to my customers so that they can also have their own online shop from a reliable source at an affordable price.
