Description
This is a Joomla based project to build a comprehensive Community Portal for the UK.The Portal will consist of the following sections:-
1) Education - A fully searchable Directory of Education resources for ALL levels of education from Primary through to Adult Education and Training. This section will be devided into A)Students - with sub pages/sections for Primary, Secondary, College. B) Teachers C)Adults. ALL sections will give search access to the same directory.
2) Community - Providing a searchable directory of Community Services, Groups, Charities etc. together with sub-pages for Community News (to be uploaded by our own community "E-Journalists"), Live National & Local News Feeds from providers, Entertainment listings, Community Events, Health, Environment, Local Shopping, Community Forum. We will also be offering local charities and community groups their own "blog" section to provide news etc. about their activities.
3) Employment - Searchable Employment Directory with E-Commerce capability to enable advertisers to purchase and upload Job Adverts. This section will also have sections/Pages giving employment news and advice and a Section called "Employers Showcase" (This will be described in greater detail at a later stage).
4) Classified Advertising Directory - With sub sections for Motors, Property etc. Also E-Commerce enabled to allow advertisers to purchas and upload advertising
5) Business Directory - Fully Searchable by area and trade/business type etc. and E-Commerce enabled to allow advertisers to purchase and upload adverts.
7) ZONE Advertising - The design of the site will retain a standard "look and feel" throughout with Zones for static and Rich Media advertising - This will be served by the Formfields Adman system on our server (see http://www.formfields.com/adManArea/adManProduct.php).
8) Advertise with us - Section providing information for advertisers, links to media pack and links to E-Commerce enabled systems for purchasing advertising.
9) Support - Providing access to our help desk system.
10) Get Connected - Enabling Users to request connection to our Wireless and Fixed Line Broadband services.
This project is for a single UK community and is the initial pilot for an intended UK wide roll-out to communites all over the UK.
It is a regional and local UK Government backed project that will result in a huge amount of on-going work over the next few years for our partner if successful.
We have already got the base designs etc. and site in Joomla but have been let down badly by our Indian development partner and are now seeing to appoint a new partner ASAP to complete the work and move forward with us.
And we DO MEAN Partner - We are looking at forging a LONG TERM relationship with the right company that will result in a great deal of on-going work for them if this stage is successful.
As such, we would like ALL potential bidders to READ THE FOLLOWING and be sure they can answer YES to ALL the questions we ask:-
1) Are you prepared to build a REAL LONG TERM relationship with us ?
2) Are you properly equipped and have the RIGHT technical and design etc. skills and resources on-board to deliver this project rapidly and well ?
3) Are you ENGLISH language skills PERFECT ? (WE WILL SIMPLY NOT WORK WITH ANYTHING LESS).
4) Can you provide REAL, high quality references for us to speak with who can talk about the work you have done fdor them as well as providing examples of rlelvant work you have done ?
6) Are you prepared to reflect the long term opportuinity that this project represents in your intital price ?
7) Are you prepared to work with a professional Project Plan and communicate consistently, professionally and whenever necessary ?
8) Are you professional and honest enough to TELL THE TRUTH when something goes wrong, rather than lie and avoid communication and make things worse ?
9) Do you have a strong track record that can be clearly evidenced ?
10) Are you able to start work IMMEDIATELY ?
If you cannot answer a REAL and HONEST Yes to ALL of the questions above then please do NOT bother to bid for this project. We will establish VERY quickly if you are trying to deceive us in any way.
