Description
We are getting ready to launch a business search website along the lines of a yellowbook.com or superpages.com but with a few unique features and much improved interface.YOU MUST AGREE TO NON-DISCLOSURE & THE CODING MUST BELONG TO US.
A few points that need to be covered:
• This is essentially a search engine website focusing only on U.S. businesses.
• As such the usual searchable categories and listings will be needed. We will assist and direct what categories and help as needed.
• Solid security (anti-hacker). Your coding must be organized and professional, and hack safe. The last thing we won’t is sloppy coding which leaves the site vulnerable to hackers because you didn’t code correctly. Ability to control functions, features easily from admin panel. The admin panel should be extremely easy for administrator to use and it must control every aspect of the website.
• Different type of users. Example, guest, users, moderator, super moderator, Co-admin, Admin. (all with different permission).
• Project will be kept secret. Successful developer MUST sign confidentiality agreement.
• Codes must be clean. Obviously you must have experience in proper coding so that all new coding works seamlessly with phpMotion coding.
• System should be able to handle heavy traffic.
• Site must be cross-browser optimized; so it’s compatible with all web browsers.
• Site must not infringe any copyrights and must not be a pirated copy
• Of course must be search engine friendly!
• The website will incorporate flash design to give it a much nicer user interaction.
• We will provide the business information and want the ability to upload to database easily.
• Each business will have its own front page that has all relevant business information.
• Businesses must have limited ability to customize that front page (add stock background, upload logo, upload photos, change contact/business information)
• Once a business claims an existing business or adds a new business that front page must be only accessible for change by the person setting it up. So users must be able to set up an account with some verification procedures (IP logging, disclaimers, verification verbage) to ensure they are allowed to set up/change information for a business.
• IMPORTANT: Business can upload video in center of their front page. Would like simple interface such as that which Facebook uses for vid upload (javascript) where users webcam is accessed for personal video recording (or they can upload previously created file.
• Will need FFMPG (.flv) conversion to convert other video formats.
• The overall page will look like an open book (flash) which flips as used to give user a more enjoyable searching experience
• ADVERTISING: Every page will have two advertising sections: (1) banner ad at bottom which will show sponsored ads and (2) a rotating 3-D cube (flash) that cycles through other ads. We need to be able to control, monitor and add these advertisements easily. We also need ability to set them up for targeted searches (example: user searching for auto parts business will have banner ads such as “Auto Zone” or “Pennzoil” as they are relevant to their search). Again, the administrative control panel should allow us to set up the advertisements in a database that these banner/cube ads pull from. So the flash elements must allow dynamic content.
• This is a general audience website so no inflammatory language, profanity or pornography is allowed. When a user modifies or starts a new business front page this will be in the terms of service. We will provide this information.
• As a “G” rated site. We would like a feature similar to the flagging option Craigslist uses. That way when a websurfer visits a page, if there is inappropriate content, they can click the “flag this” option. A brief form will pop up so that websurfer can explain why he/she is flagging it. That completed form will go to an administrative email for review. This and other features should be easily handled in a control panel.
This shouldn’t be a large project but we expect quality and tight coding from an experienced and skilled developer. If you aren’t completely confident in your ability to deliver what we ask then don’t bid.
This will be an ongoing project, so if you do a good job we will no use anyone other than you to further develop and enhance this site. We are also working on several other web-based sites, which would, obviously, go to you as well.

We have a second website we are also preparing to launch. We would prefer to award both projects to the same developer. If your skills don't match both projects it may not be a good fit. The information for this one is as follows:
We are getting ready to launch a video sharing site based on phpMotion (visit phpmotion.com to see exactly what this is) and are in need of a reputable web developer/PHP to tweak the coding to fit our particular needs. Of course, if it is easier or more cost-effective you are free to start from scratch.

Essentially we are looking to have a video sharing site much like YouTube.com which is exactly what PHPmotion provides. It already has the video uploading, searching, ranking everyone knows. Beyond that we wish to set it up as a PAY-FOR-PLAY site where viewers set up an account, which has funds taken as they watch each video.
On the ecommerce side it would be as follows:
• Ability for users to set up account, which includes collection of personal data as well as choice of financial method to make/receive payments (ie. PayPal, 2Checkout, WorldPay), establishing screen name and password
• Ability for users to upload exclusive video content for nominal fee
• Ability for viewers to set up an account, which includes collection of minimal personal data as well as choice of financial method to make payments (ie. PayPal, 2Checkout, WorldPay), establishing screen name and password
