Description

We are using Unix OS, PHP version 5.1.6 and MySQL client version 5.0.24a.

We are trying to generate a excel form from PHP using data stored in our mysql table. The output excel table will be in utf8 and have multi-language, such as TRADITIONAL CHINESE, ENGLISH, SWEDISH, NORWEGIAN, FINNISH.

Our php script will work 80% of the time and output without any problems. However sometimes it will output garbage data, please see attached photo.

We believe that this is a problem caused by the DESCRIPTION field in our table which have a TEXT data. Sometimes special characters such as " or ' will cause the output to work incorrectly.

I need the php script to be corrected and tested so that it can output the english, swedish, traditional chinese text 100% correct, no matter what the data is.
