Description:	I need a Web Component, not active-x, that I can use to make a remote connection to a PC, like VNC, that can be waitting with an AGENT (downloadeable and self-installable) to make a remote access to workstations. My story: I have a PHP 5.x helpdesk software. I need that my customers access some link to easly get this "agent", self-installable, and stay waitting for a remote connection. This agent, once installed, may be a service in windows, or a something similar in linux, to stay listening permanently. I need a way to detect, at my software, if this agent is installed, so when my final user try to download the agent again, I can show a message "your agent is still installed". My technicians need to connect to workstations to make some intervencion. They will access the final user records in the system, and make the connection to the final user users workstation calling this component and sending the IP Address and some other needed information. This set of 2 softwares must be compatible with Linux and Windows (98/above) workstations. I can't use active-x controls in my software by limitations on linux customers. I can't use a windows only agent, by same reason. My customers have different kind of configurations (linux, windows, etc...) at the technicians and final users. I would like that this component can make file transfer too, and send commands (crtl + alt + del), example. I need some security, like a password, to make this connection. All of them must run in Web Browser, like a java applet or something like this. The most important is that my customers does not need to install or update their web server application so that can work.
