Description

I have alot of clients that have to fax reports and they would rather choose to print reports to remote printers without having to set up a VPN.
I'm looking for a developer to build me an application that will allow for remote printing via the web which would replace the need to provide a VPN and map printers through a VPN.I am thinking that the application would need to be loaded on the server that is sending the print job and than a small application to be installed on the PC of client. We need some kind of SSL to connect the server to the printer via the internet.
All ideas are welcome.
Thanks

for this purpose, I can setup an LPR printer queue onto your server. with this protocol, there is no safety feature at all : anyone in the world can send you a print job (like anyone can send a fax), and there is no encryption of the content (except that the print driver translates GDI print commands into PCL or postscript or any language specific to your printer. on the other hand, the client needs no software at all (except the printer driver that is often included in windows. let me know if you're interrested to do it this way.
