HELLO

We are looking for an experienced coder to help us build a fairly straight-forward web-based report generation system. Please read the following description carefully before posting your bid. Before posting your bid, we want to make sure you understand our project.

::::GENERAL DESCRIPTION::::
This system is being constructed for a consulting company which helps its clients (Oil and Gas Companies) comply with state and federal pipeline compliance regulations. For any one client, each year, a variety of compliance reports are produced for the client’s pipeline assets. How we currently operate is:

1) drive to the pipeline location
2) inspect pipeline and fill in a paper report (Word Document)
3) the paper report is then cataloged in the client’s overall compliance reporting book.

We will be creating a web-based reporting system that changes this process to:

1) drive to the pipeline location
2) using a laptop and wireless connection, connect to web-based reporting system, login through secure un/pw area, choose appropriate report, enter data into online-report form
3) when saved, the report is posted to the clients account in a PDF format. Other functionality also exists (see below).

Please FIRST review the attached document titled “System General Outline.PDF”. This document will give you a general breakdown of 1) three USER classes and 2) what each USER class will be able to do with the system. IMPORTANT: As you go through the document, please note comments in RED. Other documents are referenced, and are also included in this project post for your review. These will help you understand functionalities of specific system areas/modules.

WE ARE DEVELOPING A FRONT-END TEMPLATE TO BE USED.
WE WILL SET-UP HOSTING ENVIRONMENT AS NEEDED.
THE ATTACHED DOCUMENTS ARE 95% COMPLETE, AND WILL BE 100% COMPLETE BY THE TIME THE PROJECT STARTS.
THIS IS PHASE I OF THE PROJECT. We are already working on PHASE II details SO THERE WILL BE FUTURE WORK.

:::::TIMELINE:::::
We would like to select our programmer by December 6th and start the project by December 8th, 2006.
We will completely organize the project and will make sure you have everything you need to get started. We would like for the project to be entirely complete by January 10th. This is a quick production, but certainly achievable, especially if you can have multiple people working on the project. IF YOU FINISH THE PROJECT ON TIME, WE WILL BE PAYING AN ADDITIONAL BONUS. We will inform the winning bidder of this bonus before the project starts.
