Hi I think the script you need could consist of 4 major parts: 1) authorization - post login form, check if the user is logged in (logout | sign in | login controls could be found on the page). 2) parse data_query form for possible parameter variants. 3) query the data pages, check if there are more then one page of data (some pager code could be find on the results page) 4) parse the result pages & write data to DB. It seems that the most relevant techniques for this app are: urllib - handle the browser session with cookies BeautifulSoup - to parse html pages SQLAlchemy - for db access I feel I've got sufficient skills and qualifications to complete this job. This job could take 2..5 days to be completed. I think we could more precisely estimate the time required when I look at the example pages of the site you want to crawl.
