Description

I'm looking to have an online design studio created for our web site.

The design studio would give our customers the ability to create designs for a variety of items, including pin-back buttons, stickers, bumper stickers, business cards and signs. It will need to generate print-ready files.

The design studio will need features and controls similar to those found on:

www.customizedgirl.com
www.ossdesigner.com

I prefer the design interface and controls found on uberprints.com

The customer must be able to add/delete text fields, adjust text size, text color, bold or italicize text, create curved text and fine tune the arc of that text (such as the controls found on uberprints.com). Customer should also be able to align text and graphic elements and adjust layer order for any text / graphics used in their design.

Customers will need to be able select from a set of templates we will have on our site and be able to upload their own artwork, if they wish, to be used in creating a design. Customer must also be able to proof their design prior to submitting their order.

It MUST be easy for us to add new products, templates and fonts to the design studio.

While not a requirement for this job, a feature found on customizedgirl.com that I really like is the ability to have pre-set text on templates the customer can still modify. I would be willing to pay a premium for this feature, if it can be done so that it is easy for us to set up new templates in the admin section.

We have a third-party hosted shopping cart we use on our site and when the customer has completed and approved their design, the design studio will need to do one of two things, depending on the ultimate destination for their design.

Some designs will require a download link be emailed to the customer so they can access the design for their own use. Still others will require that a download link and order information be sent to us for processing and for us to produce that particular item. Because of this, we need to be able to set how and where the download link will be sent in the admin section of the design studio.
