Description
Clearlane is a company that markets multiple adventure sports including skydiving, hot air balloon rides, flight lessons, air charters and more. We are looking for a new website that will serve one simple but very important function. Here are the details. Need bids / quotes ASAP so we can begin work right away.SUMMARY:
In addition to making direct reservations for our sports / activities, we also sell gift certificates. In order to cut down on express mail expenses, we would like to offer an online solution to deliver printable gift certificate (GC) PDF files. The basic process we envision is that when a sales rep takes an order for a GC, some basic info from the GC sale would go into a database and will be fed to the website database either immediately or once every couple of hours. The customer could then go to the website, enter the email address that they supplied with the sale and they would be taken to a page with the GC for the specific sport they ordered. The printable GC would include their name, the GC redemption number, the GC expiration date, the sport and amount of the GC. We offer GCs that pay for the entire experience or "monetary value" gift certificates that pay for a part of the sport. They are usualy $50 - $200. The website should be able to associate the email address with the correct GC and info. It should also include a toggle variable that will invalidate the login once the GC has expired or is used by the customer. We would need the ability to add GCs for new sports or experiences.
SOME SPECIFICS:
1. Our internal software can feed the website database via SQL, RSS, XML, CSV, etc. Whatever option will work best with your website build.
2. We want the ability to skin the site ourselves using basic HTML / CSS.
3. We want to be able to use multiple printable GC templates since we have several companies under one roof. We can supply artwork for these.
4. We need this project done quickly. Hope to have it online and fully functional by October 1st.
5. A skilled programmer is far more important than a designer for this. We have an in-house art department.
6. We are open to suggestions if you have ideas on how to improve this process.
