Description

Creation of a web based tool for provisioning hosting services for an ISP

The tool should allow an administrator to:

• Provision websites by completing an online form of technical details such as website address, disk quota, mysql database details, etc
• Provision POP/IMAP mail accounts by completing an online form of technical details such as email address, username, password, quota, etc
• Update details of existing services such as increasing quotas, adding new email aliases, etc
• Delete services
• Automatically archive the contents of services before deleting them
• Apply changes to site configurations in real time by forcing services such as apache and postfix to reload their configurations
• Temporarily suspend/resume accounts
• generate reports on disk quotas/usage, mailbox sizes, etc
Design Constraints
• Developed using php and mysql or postgres
• Provide different permission levels for basic users vs super users
• Utilise Ajax partial postbacks wherever possible
