Description

We are an online jewelry retailer selling both diamonds and various kinds of jewelries. For our oscommerce-built platform, we would like to build a filter on the product listing page (product_listing.php) that screen and list out the diamonds according to the attributes specified by our customers. Example of similar filters:

I have already setup the fields of the attributes on the mySQL database. The filter should contain the following attributes:

(1) Carat: a two-sided pulling bar to set the range from (lowest “carat” of diamond in the database) to (highest “carat” in the database)

(2) Price: a two-sided pulling bar to set the range from 0 to (show the highest price among the product list)

(3) Colour: buttons to choose either one or multiple numbers of the following attributes: D, E, F, G, H, I or J

(4) Cut: buttons to choose either one or multiple numbers of the following attributes: Excellent; Very Good; Good; Fair

(5) Clarity: buttons to choose either one or multiple numbers of the following attributes: FL, IF, VVS1, VVS2, VS1, VS2, SI1, SI2

(6) Symmetry: buttons to choose either one or multiple numbers of the following attributes: Excellent; Very Good; Good; Fair

(7) Polish: buttons to choose either one or multiple numbers of the following attributes: Excellent; Very Good; Good; Fair

(8) Hearts and Arrow – either “Yes” or “No”

When customers click on any of the specifications above, the updated product list will show below the filter immediately.
