I require integration with a program called jamroom from jamroom.net and the shopping cart within Joomla Virtuemart.

Both system have been installed on the same database.

With in Jamroom you can post Cd's merchandise etc - and use smart tags for placing things where you want them in the template... like {band_id} etc.. Jamroom has its own merchandise feature allowing people to have there own sales section/store.. but its nothing like the commercial size of virtuemart...

When I list albums - I want to place tags in the Jamroom themes template - (changes only reflect when you regenerate the user/artists profile) - where albums are displayed, it searches for the identifier ( STORE-SKU mentioned below field) virtue mart store and pull out the Price... in the themes template will have a Buy now button, and price field. On the buy now button, on press and take you straight to that URL of the product in virtue mart - so auto gets the URL and stores it in to the link.

So what I am thinking that we keep the Jamroom merchandise section and have this connect to virtue mart some how for purchase.

So how do we link the Jamroom Merchandise section and Virtuemart?
We could insert an extra field in merchandise Jamroom store section called "STORE-SKU" it would have a desciption - leave blank if you r product is not in the Virtuemart store" for members to see.. if this filled out - it will pull data from virtuemart for the buy now links etc and display that price for that SKU product. so code on the themes page will be like.. if sku >0 {SKU-Price}

The STORE-SKU field will goes in to the merchanise templatewhen you list a new product for sale. It requires to have a "get data" button also, so a user ( most likely admin ) will enter the STORE-SKU in to the field and press get data, on press the function will search the Virtue mart fields for the SKU matching field, then pull out the data for the other fields. Price, descripton.. etc.. and populate the rest of the form, / enters a url on the buy now link directly to the product page on Virtuemart.
