Description

Our new OS COMMERCE site will sell custom glass sizes and I require something that will calculate the price of a piece of glass based upon dimensions that are input by the customer.

Here's an example;

Clear glass comes in 6mm, 8mm, 10mm & 12mm thickness and each one has a per square metre price

I want the customer to be able to select the required thickness (dropbOx) and then the dimensions of the glass they require (these are predominately glass shelves, so will always be rectangular - any other shape would be too complex).

So, say they wanted a shelf of 900mm long x 300mm deep in 10mm glass and the selling cost of 10mm glass was GBP 140 per square metre.

The program would need to calculate the price thus;

0.900 x 0.300 x 140 = GBP 37.80
.... so we would need something that you could input dimensions and a thickness – we would then re-use this pricing calculator on lots of different products.
