Description

I have a series of .NET 2.0 applications (C# and VB.NET) that rely on one centralized Microsoft Access database that is currently very simplistic with only about 10 tables.

I am currently looking to deploy one of our applications that is written in C# (2.0) that has the MS Access database back-end. I'd like that Access database converted over to PostgreSQL and a new setup project to be created, loosely based on the current project. Although the conversion is simple, it's the *deployment* of the application and new database that's the most important part of this project. I would like a little documentation on how the database was created (tools used, especially) since I usually utilize MS Access and simple SQL statements for database creation. But the most important part is the thorough/step-by-step documentation of how to deploy this application in both a single-machine and domain/networked environment. I currently use Microsoft's VS.NET 2005 deployment wizard to create MSI files and this is how I'd prefer to do it to keep it simple. Because of the importance of the documentation, good English skills are a MUST!

Basically, I'd like to learn how to use PostgreSQL and how to deploy it properly.
