We are looking to have an Outlook 2003/2007 "Add-In" developed that will allow users to add/update/remove contacts from their local outlook application to our web-service using a SOAP API.
the project should be built in VS.NET 2005 using VSTO 2005 as well. The final deliverable will be an installation package that will install the outlook add-in locally. When viewing your contacts in Outlook, you will add a new "right click" options that will have "add/update contact" and "Remove contact". When invoked, the add-in will grab the relevant information such as firstname,lastname, companyname, jobtitle, emailaddress, phone info, fax info, etc and pass this to our web-service.
The addin should work with Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007. When developed with visual tools for Office 2005, should be a straight forward project as long as you have had previous office development experience.

I cant recommend you to use VSTO as this library hard to be managed and controlled, it is also slow in the first time loading although for just displaying the customized button. I recommend you to use Shared Add-In method, where it is easier in managing the library, fast loading, and comply with any Outlook version.
So, in this case you will provide us the WSDL file referenced to your current SOAP system, right? Let me know your current WSDL file structure for my review, so I could estimate the exact price. I have a perfect experience in managing WSDL file format for presenting an online synchronization process.
And for the contact database management, this will be easiest part of current development. We could use CDO or Outlook Object Model library for this purpose. There will be a PIA (Primary Interop Assembly) if you would write this shared add-in in .NET environment. Dont worry, they are all free to download and distribute.
