Description: Please note: we have quite a bit of work and are looking for an ongoing relationship. This job is mainly a test to see how well we work together.

The ideal person will have an excellent command of English, be able to do accurate quality work at reasonable rates, and deliver when promised.

This job:

We currently have a .Net 2.0 web service (language C#) that contains two methods: UpLoadFile and DownloadFile. These methods allow a caller to upload and download files from the web server.

Currently, the files are stored in a SQL Server 2005 database in blob fields. We need them moved out of the database and onto the file system.

This job will involve three tasks:

1. Write a routine to loop through the table of files, extracting the files from the blob fields and saving them to the file system.

2. Modify the stored procedures used to manage the files table to not store/retrieve the blobs.

3. Modify the upload and download web service methods to store and retrieve files from the file system rather than the DB.
