Description: I want to get a small program built that will run in the background watching a directory or list of directories using FileSystemWatch. It will alow some kind of project creation where you setup the files/directories you want watched. When a file changes it will be archived and stored in an MsSQL Express database table. I have the table schema created but I'm open to new ideas and improvements.

I'm going to use the Chilkat Zip component: http://www.chilkatsoft.com/dotNetZip.asp
unless you know of or have a better one for this purpose.

From the program you will be able to open and look at the file from the database to determine if you want to save that file as a different name, restore it over the current copy, or just cut-n-paste a part from it.

The cut-n-paste option will assume that we are working with some kind of text file but I would like the SaveAs, or Restore options for binary files (such as images) as well.

I'm not sure what the best way to do this is, but I imagine there being 2 programs. One as an administration tool that you can edit the projects and view/restore backups. The other program would be as small and fast as possible and would simply have a project start/stop list. This program could be minimized to the system tray and could be set to auto-run when the computer starts.

Hi, I'm a software developer/engineer. I already created a Windows application that would monitor the activity in the specified folder including its sub-folders. I'm sure its a little modification to be done with regards to archiving/zipping. Please inform me the other features of the tool you required. Currently, below are the proposed features: - Folder watcher (including subfolders) - Zipping/archiving of file and uploading the archived file to the database.
