Hi, I've build several versions of a FTP upload/download application in both C# 2.0 and in Delphi while employed by JP Morgan Chase for the our client, State of New York Tax department. The final version of that application included decompression for g-zip files, a scheduler front-end, error reporting, emailing status updates, and configurable auto-retry counters. The application also followed standard design practices by using test driven development (w/ NUNIT), and design patterns such as State, Singleton, and Publish and Subscriber. While I'm estimating many days more than the rest, I believe in doing a design before programming and I promise to give you a product that will cost you less money in the long haul.
