I use iSilo a lot, because it is very good to read eBooks/eArticles on Smartphones and PDAs.


Like CHM and LIT formats, PDB (iSilo) is made by “joining” HTML files...

iSilo's documents have *.PDB extension, but are different from other file types also with *.PDB extension (eReader, PalmDOC, PalmDB, Plucker).


When I am at home, I need to search, organize, catalog my eBooks/eArticles, and so I use Windows Desktop Search (WDS) on Windows XP.
PDB (iSilo) documents, containing searchable text, are not indexed because there is no IFilter to PDB (iSilo) usable by WDS. Thus, I need an IFilter to PDB (iSilo) usable by WDS!


IFilters are PlugIns/AddOns to WDS, to make possible to search text in files which type is not built-in in WDS.
Ifilters are COM DLLs, and Microsoft has online documentation about how to program/develop new IFilters. Look at:
