Description

The current project is to design the logo and favicon for www.MultipleSclerosis.me which is a site in development about Multiple Sclerosis Emotions and Relationships.

There will be additional graphics design work for this and related sites later. One of those sites will be a relationships (dating) site specifically for people with MS.

Ideally, the logo is to be an image conveying:

- The variability of MS: 1 day = OK, next day = Hell

- The general fog, confusion and disorientation of people with MS

- The hope for a brighter future and eventual cure thanks to www.MultipleSclerosis.me

- Your views re what MS represents!

One idea we like is a cartoon like genderless character made from the letters M and S, as sketched in the attached files. If this idea works out as the logo for www.MultipleSclerosis.me, then a version of this for the future MS dating / relationship site would be to have the same image but with a large heart above the head, or to have two of these images holding hands.

But please do not restrict yourself to just that idea, though we would like to see an attempt based on it. Let your creativity flow with several possibilities for us to choose from please.

We are not concerned about the logo being faxable i.e. it does not need to "work" in black and white or greyscale.

The favicon should bear sufficient resemblance to the logo to be recognised as belonging to the same site.

The icon should ideally be squarish in shape, and 90 to 100 pixels high to go at top left of the site. We would however, consider a rectangular shape i.e. wider.

There should be no words within the logo. If we want to use words in conjunction with the logo they will be overlaid via HTML.

The current header section of the page will be re-worked to suit the logo. The header could include a suitable background image to complement the logo. Once the relationship (dating) site is launched we would envisage a smaller version of its logo at top right as a link to the other site.

We will want to receive the master psd file for the chosen design, not just a finished jpg.
