Description

My WordPress-powered site keeps having/creating issues on the MySQL server. It is hosted on a VPS, and gets around 15K visitors a day. Crashes can and do occur even when traffic is fairly low (a few hundred visitors per hour), so traffic in and of itself isn't the problem. A more likely (?) suspect may be one or more of the plugins used.

Access to the host can be done through shell and PhpMyAdmin.

Latest error message from the hosting provider re: server overload was high number of connections in sleep state.
