Description

I am looking for a fully functional website to provide a publicly searchable arts and crafts supplier business database. The website will provide information about each business (location, business type/category, contact info descriptive text, etc.) and will incorporate links to several images.

The website should allow these businesses to register (including username and password), input profile information, maintain a product listing, and upload relevant image files (subject to approval). There will be a charge for businesses submitting their details – payment should be handled via PayPal. Upon successful registration, businesses will be responsible for maintaining their own details, associated content and product listings.

Registered Businesses should be fully indexed and the website should provide a mechanism for searching and retrieving details as required. Searchable fields should include elements such as name, location, products, keywords, and/or business type. The search result lists should include details of relevant businesses, with the ability to drill down into products or other information of interest.

Preferably, the website should be developed using Web 2.0 technology. Open Source (LAMP) is the preferred technology stack and the site must utilize a backend database. Design elements already in place include company branding information and logo, but all other elements for this project, including but not limited to; design, database, images, artwork, photos, etc. should be supplied by the developer. All elements must be intuitive and easy to understand, operate, use and navigate. The business is for use by the arts and crafts community; please ensure that design of website reflects this.

Updates are requirement periodically, to illustrate progress of the site development. Payment will be placed with GAF escrow.
