We are seeking a Linux Expert with previous experience compiling LiveCDs to create a custom LiveCD.

The LiveCD must boot modern computers, recognize most onboard NICs and recognize SATA and IDE drives. The LiveCD must have a minimal set of applications (no desktop applications will be required) that includes bash, telnet server, ssh client and server, ftp, ping, vi . After booting the computer, the LiveCD must also launch applications located in an "autorun" folder.

CentOS is the desired version of Linux for the LiveCD. We would like to re-use an existing LiveCD distribution, but customized to our size requirements. The LiveCD should be about 10MB.

The deliverable will include a script that will compile an ISO image from a set of drivers, applications in the "autorun" folder, and a Linux kernel.

This is a prototype project. We are seeking a Linux Expert who can join the development team after this test project is completed successfully. Experience with JavaSE, C++ and System Admin is desirable.
