Description

I have a client that needs a script that will only fire if the user leaves the domain. She is wanting the user to be sent to an exit page upon leaving her domain. I have searched for scripts that do this and been unable to find one that can suitably perform as she needs. I don't have the Javascript knowledge to do this myself but you will be working with me on this, so if you are selected and have questions during the project you'll be working with me on this.

The client has provided this url www.seminarstrategysecrets.com as an example of how she wants it to work. She has the exit pages made we just need a Javascript expert to make the script work properly. For an expert its probably a fairly simple thing to do so the budget is less than $50. If you think it will take longer and therefore cost more don't hesitate to bid just be sure to explain why you think it will talk longer and therefore cost more.

Please provide examples of Javascript work you've done in the past. Payment will not be made until the script is completed and working properly on the clients site.

With regard to the example url provided, I need to clarify the functionality that we are looking for from this example.

Desired functionality as in the example is the following:

Upon leaving the site user is redirected to a page that has a popup that asks something like the example page 'are you sure you want to leave'.

a. If user clicks 'okay' they continue on to the page they were going to without further interruption.

b. If user clicks 'cancel' then they stay on the redirected page.

The path shown in the address line of the browser should still reflect the page that the user is on.

Undesired functionality from the example url is the following:

With the example site the path in the url is the same no matter what page you go to on the site. That is not how it should work on this clients site, so keep this in mind when bidding.

I hope this helps clarify what exactly we need. Also if you can provide a working demo of this it would greatly improve your chances of being selected for this project.

Just to clarify further, the script should not require that the pages be setup as frames as the example url is setup. The site that will be using this uses NO frames, so the script must work properly without the use of frames.

Also I realize that if you post a demo that its possible for the code to be copied but I have no intention of doing this. If you don't feel that you'd like to provide a demo until you are selected just specify that in PM. I would like to know before selecting someone that they can do what I need them to, but I do realize that its a risk on your part to give me a fully working demo before I select a provider. So I will not penalize any bidders for electing not to show a demo before selection. If you can have a working version ready when I make a selection then do PM me and let me know that you will have a fully working script ready if I select you.

This is an urgent task so I will be looking for someone that can provide a final script soon after being selected. I will be making a decision by about 6pm EST.
