Description

NOTE: Joomla 1.0.15 knowledge is only a plus, but is NOT required! The thrust of this project IS Flash and XML.

I'm working with a Joomla multimedia script (that plays both video and audio files). Each item of course has a thumbnail that's linked to the actual media file. I need a nice Flash-based "Being Watched Now"-type solution (similar to what's used on YouTube, ClipShare, PHPMotion, etc.) that allows me to show X number of thumbs (which I configure through Joomla), which the user can of course click to go to the file of choice.

The XML that the Flash file will draw from must be similar to the following format:

<thumbnailurl></thumbnailurl>

The actual contents for the above tags will be generated by the PHP file which pulls the information from the database (i.e., lastviewedtime, etc.). That is, I will be using statements similar to print "<linkurl>thislink</linkurl>"

The REQUIRED parameters are of course <linkurl> and <thumbnailurl>. All other parameters are OPTIONAL. So, if I don't set them in the main PHP script, the solution should work fine so long as the required parameters are present. A BIG plus is if the solution has a setting to "scale" the thumbnail image (without having to save another copy of it).

Regarding scrolling, I prefer horizontal scrolling (great for if the number of thumbnails I select is too wide for the page).

To make things easier, I've uploaded some Flash items I already purchased that you may feel free to use. Of course, it is perfectly acceptable if you can do a better solution from scratch (or if you already have a nice one readily available and appropriate for this project).

The final product should be simple and fast-loading, with a clean interface and configurable parameters (where I can change color, arrows, etc., without having to re-edit the original Flash files). Also, I'm trying NOT to look like very other 'Tube clone out there, so you can be creative.

CONDITIONS: I must be able to test your solution before accepting work. I DO NOT expect this to be integrated into Joomla - the piece will be integrated into the larger project by another programmer.

I need this ASAP. This should be a dead-simple project for a pro. Of course, feel free to use the PMB liberally. Thanks!
