Description

We need a graphics designer / animator / flash designer to create a "functional" intro for our upcoming website. We have a "creature" that we would like to see come to life.

By functional intro, what we mean is this:
This will be an intro that allows visitors to receive product information, and provides as the overall method of navigation to key points of the site.

Short synopsis would be:
Nature scene appears dark, creature appears on right of screen, walks to center, stops, has minimal body movement. There will be icons throughout the scene that will glow when hovered on. If an icon is clicked, a terminator view type screen will come to the front with information about that particular icon. At the end of the scrollable terminator screen will be a read more button which will take them into the actual website.

Possible Icons are:
Product 1 - Information on product 1
Product 2 - Information on product 2
Media - Photos and Short Videos
Community - Forum info and link
Contact - General Company info and link to submit contact inquiry

We may add 1 or 2 icons, however they will be informational only. The only icons that need to really interact in flash would be the photos and video icon. That will need a gallery of some sort to allow photos and videos to be displayed.

With that said, all icons will need to pull from some sort xml or external file type system so that we can modify the content of the icons at any point in time. It can pull in html/xml/file listing, whatever. We are open to suggestions on this.

Animation of the creature itself will be somewhat minimal after the initial walk on. We see it going something like this.

Creature starts at right somewhat hidden
Eyes glow to draw focus
Creature starts walk to center of screen (or appropriate place)
Creature stops, turns head to screen
Eyes Glow
Possible Shake of head
Possible small amount of smoke out of nose
Growl.


A little background on the project.... We were just taken for a large amount of money by a freelancer. We did have a contract and are pursuing action against him. So, this needs to be done in a relatively short amount of time, for a relatively good price. Again, we just emptied our budget account for this and have nothing other than a few samples and we are 4 months behind schedule.

So, we need someone with references that can be contacted, a strong track record, great communication skills (Available through email, AIM, conference call, web cam chat between the hours of 8am and 7pm EST.) Any communications will be scheduled so its not like you have sit in front of your computer or by the phone for 11 hours a day.

References will be verified, you will be required to sign a services agreement. Payment schedule is somewhat flexible, however due to our recent experience we will require a "phase" of the project to be completed before any substantial payment is received. If you can not work in this manner, DO NOT BID.

Also, the winning candidate, upon successful completion of the project will have a chance at a 60 second commercial that will air across the U.S.A and will be a MUCH larger project.

I am attaching some reference photos along with samples that demonstrate the type of look we are going for on the creature.
