Description

Design a home page and header/navagation system that will go on every other page of a website. I think it will require flash to achive the look I want. It possibly could be done with a script instead. No generic replies please, provide links to work relavent to my project description.

Needed for a meeting Monday 01/29/07 at 12:00 CST US. (Dallas, TX time.) which means 3 day turn around. Tight deadline! so be an expert in flash if u take the project or explain throughly how you will accomplish without using flash.

The attachment contains a few mocks and drawn out ideas of what I am thinking for the site. I want the homepage to look “deep” or dimensional. One version is to have business women standing in front to a wall of words (see words in attach) The women can be smaller and will eventually be replaced with pictures of other women than those in the mocks attached. I originally thought of it like a room or a box with the words behind and around the women. I think the words would look best justified evenly in a box like structure (important: see word doc in attach). Sentence can follow sentence almost like free thinking.

Here is where the flash comes in: The words need to be much bigger and really the focal point of the page, not the women. I would like key phrases to “glow” for a second or come forward from the page. I would like this to consistently happen until the user chooses to navigate to another page. For example in the 1st sentence "Altrusa" then "builder of women" would glow then another phrase in another sentence like "Best in character" would glow.

For the header/navigation I would prefer NOT something ordinary with buttons,tabs or drop downs like in the mocks, I want something cool like http://www.visualthesaurus.com or have the Altrusa logo on the page some where and to use it as a navigation tool, almost like an “easy button” When you roll over it it gives you other suggestions for navigation. Possibly the women aren't included and the altrusa logo is in the middle of the words and is the navigation system. Then it moves to the header area for the remainder of pages.Open to suggestions and I'm especially interested in seeing examples your navs. I have 1 bid on this but a bit to high. Let me see what you can do.
