I'm a college student finished 2nd year 18/20 points for Java course, graduated highschool with 100% on Java course + award of best programmer. This would be a nice advantage to gain a bit of experience and show my skills. My drawing isn't very well, but using images (open source, or drawn by somone else) to use in the API would be a good idea according to me. I can work every day after school, also durign weekends + I have 2 free days a week, gives me more time to spend at the project.
