Description

I am not really with a company per se. I merely an individual wants some computer software training related to mobile devices.

Unfortunately, here in America the price for this is very expensive. So I thought maybe someone out there would be willing to undertake this project – basically training me. I will pay you an amount that we agree upon. An amount that is fair for both of us. Of course, I would come there to your country, which I am more than willing to do. I’ll just find some flat to rent and we can do the training at your office or my flat or wherever is convenient. I'd like to get my Java cert (as many as possible, especially J2ME) and also anything related to handheld devices, mobiles, PDAs, wireless – learning Symbian, Android, etc.

I am basically doing a career change and wanting to get into this field. I am 40 years old; not a child. So I am willing to come to there and get this taken care of as quickly as possible. I am looking at some type of intensive computer boot camp/training, 5-6 days a week from 9am-5pm. Unfortunately, these types of boot camps here in America are so expensive only big corporations can afford it. The other alternative is going back to university and I don't have time for that. I am willing to come there about 3 months or however long it takes.

About me, I have my Bachelors Degree in Industrial Design and have minimal amount of experience with computer software. Since I have my degree in Industrial Design, I thought that handheld devices, mobiles, PDAs, wireless would be a good fit. Something more applicable. I have some programming experience – very little to quite frank. I am somewhat familiar with VB.NET, C#.NET and HTML. Obviously, most handheld devices use Java, but at the same time the experience that I mentioned above should help, since there are some similarities between C# and Java.

This information should give you an idea of where I am and where you would need to start the training. You and/or your colleagues would have to design some type of training course to get me to where I need to be with regard to this training. And in addition, if you have any projects going on, I’d be more than happy to “shadow” you (watch and learn).

For budget range for this project, I'm sure we can reach something that is fair for both of us ... so don't get concerned either way about the "medium project" price range that I inputted. I'm not really sure. It depends on how much training, how long, how good you are, etc. We'll figure it out later.
