Description

This document covers the detailed design for the Service Processing Platform (SPP) and the LDAP security directory.

Winning bid must include the following answers:
1. Proven OpenLDAP experiance
2. Approach and suggestions to implementation
3. Size of the company and size of the team to implement
4. Proven Java development skills
5. Applications running OpenLDAP or reference letters of prior projects


The service within this design will concentrate on the following functionality deliverables:

Deliverable 1

Default configuration script to be run in each environment.
Default LDAP configuration script to be run in each environment to ensure that the same base installation is consistent. We will be running many environments and will therefore need a default configuration to be migrated from dev, test, and production. (note passwords will be different between each)

LDAP security deployment on redundant servers.
The Security LDAP server is a redundant configuration that provide the security infrastructure for the SOAmods project. They are as follows:
1.OpenLDAP – provides the LDAP V3 Directory for entire application.
2.OpenLDAP Slurpd – replication Daemon
3.Apache Directory Studio – operations tools to configure and run LDAP Directory.
4.Apache Triple Sec – used for SSO

SaaS security model and support for SSO.
The SOAmods application platform will come with a default security model and single sign-on across modules. Each security entity (Segment) is based on a single company.

Imp NOTE: Future enhancements will be necessary to grant a Segment of Segment to properly model a parent company relationship.

Operations tools to maintain and monitor our active and security
The LDAP tools are available from Apache. Initial users of all administration will be limited to internal until we can gain experience with the tools.
