Description: Functional requirements
- Developing an web application of 15 windows
- Layout and user handling is similar to Google Orkut
- Database with 30 tables with total of 140 columns
- all data is stored in database, with text in BLOBs. A search functionality (comparable to Google) in this BLOBs has to be implemented
- Web design
o usage of CSS
o layout is similar to Google Orkut but with main colour orange (instead of blue), the task would include web design

Technical implementation:
o usage of portal technology Liferay - but can be convinced of using Jetspeed or JBoss
o database is MySQL
o programming language Java

Architectural requirements
o Layering technique (presentation and persistance layer)
o secure

First task is to implement core application with one window Login (to prove technology), including layout.
After successful implementation the whole application will be implemented. So please bid on first phase, but estimate also the whole implementation
For the proposal please also name some reference implementations.
The detailed specification will be sent to the successful bidder.

Hi Sir,I am a software professional with hands on java and related technology for more than 5+ years..We work on Struts,Spring,Hibernate,Web services,Lucene,Poi,Ajax and many other frameworks... As with your requirement...we have not used portal technology...but if you insist we can...We would suggest we go with struts framework using Hibernate to handle the database for persistance layer of the database in between. And using struts that truly follow MVC architecture in a multilayered architecture using Facade design pattern , the application would meet the IT standards, and even the application is highly maintainaible...We can use Lucene for content based serach, that is very fast, and Ajax for better user friendiliness...i have lot many experience in different stuffs...just need to deliver...If you want...i can send you a dummy application with a login page and user registration page to show the overview of how best we can work for you...
