Bid On This Project

Description

Hi,

We are looking to develop a J2ME application that captures a picture with the handset camera and then sends the picture to a HTTP server address.

GUI requirements are relatively simple, and we have 2 options to offer:
1. We supply the GUI graphics for the project
2. To request graphics to be provided by the freelancer that takes this job. (depending on cost)

Some technical issues:
1. Image should be taken by the user, from the handset main camera
2. File format should be JPG
3. See attached list of handsets in out market, freelancer needs to specify which handsets he can support. We prefer that handset coverage will be as large as possible.

Hi, I have been working for a really long time with J2ME applications capturing video and images and sending them to an IM server over HTTP. The application should be able to run on any cellphone that support JSR 135. The one that is needed for capturing picutres or video on the cellphone. Almost all medium and high end cellphone can do this. The image format can't always be JPG, some cellphones don't support JPG format, and we can use the more standard PNG format (on cellphones that do not support JPEG). The server would be able to convert from PNG to JPEG using a simple Java app. Regards: Harold.
