2 Problem statement (As mentioned in the Bid request)
2.1 Description:
Good JavaScript expert to develop an application. Preferably with Mootools framework. Ability to develop an application working offline ++ (using Google Gears or Adobe AIR).

3 Delivery schedule
3.1 Prototype
Sapple Systems proposes to deliver a prototype (either a small dummy standalone application or a set of screen shots) within a period of 7 days after the commencement of implementation. However this is with the underlying assumption that the requirements would have been clearly marked out at the point of commencement.
We expect revised screen copies (or text) and any other feed back on the prototypes within a mutually agreed time frame. Please note that this time frame can potentially impact the final time lines, if breached.
We will send a revised prototype for sign off so that it becomes the basis for the future course of implementation.
We are assuming that the prototype would be signed off within 3 days of the initial submission.
3.2 Implementation complete
Once the Prototype is signed off, a stable release of the application would be available in 115 days time after that date. This stable release would already have been tested internally by Sapple.
This release would be made available for Functional testing. We would require infrastructural support from you to set up the entire application at your end for you to test it functionally.
3.3 Bug Finding / Fixing and Testing sign off
The Functional testing should endeavour to call out all the defects till a mutually agreed defect cut off date (Preferably 3 days). Defects after this date can be discussed and might be taken up based upon their priority. However these defects (after the mutually agreed defect cut off date) might have a bearing on the final deliverable date. This can be again discussed when we hit this stage.
For facilitating Functional testing we would be making multiple releases till the mutually agreed defect cut off date. Every successive release would fix certain bugs that would have been raised earlier.
We would do a candidate for Testing sign off release after 2 days of defect cut off date. This would fix all the mutually agreed defects found till the defect cut off date. We would be expecting a sign off on this release stating that the requirements of the bidding request has been delivered albeit some mutually agreed exempted defects.
In the unlikely situation in which more defects are discovered after the defect cut off date, we will try to accommodate them based upon discussions and their priority. We might then decide on a revised deliverable date.
4 WBS (Work Breakdown Structure)
This can be submitted once the entire requirements are frozen.
5 Proposed Payment schedule
The payment schedule called out below is subject to discussions. However we propose the following payment schedule that should serve your security requirements for the final deliverable as well as accommodate the standard practice followed in large project implementations.
Ø Initial payment: 0%
Ø After Prototype sign off: 10% [ Prototype sign off should give you a fair insight to the amount of work done by Sapple Systems and the quality of the deliverables]
Ø Implementation complete: 20% [At this stage you should have a very stable release done for you to test functionally.]
Ø Testing sign off: 20% [At this stage you should have a release that should meet all the requirements of the bidding request albeit some mutually agreed defects.]
Ø Final Delivery: 50% [ We might mutually agree to Testing sign off as the final delivery]
