Description

Hi,

I am an author looking for an illustrator to prepare illustrations for my book, which I will self publish. I will require color illustrations, with the concepts given below, in Adobe Illustrator format, A5 size.

I will give credit to the illustrator on the book, name and email address only.

This is my first project of this kind, and I am on a budget hence I would prefer economical bids. I do intend on a long term relationship with the artist for future projects.

Please send me samples of your prior work with your bid.

1) Cover page

Man and woman sitting at a dining table, in their bowls there is money (£ notes) on the table, there is a pizza box labelled takeaway, there is a takeaway coffee cup titled coffee, there is a sandwich in a triangular packing, and a plate of food with titles restaurant meals, packed burgers and coke (Mac Donald’s style). The man and woman are looking shocked and disturbed (in a funny way)


2) Breakfast section


There is a very long queue of people outside a coffee shop called ‘morning rush café’ There is a window display: hot coffee in minutes!

The people standing outside are looking sleepy (zzzzzz in the blurb)


3) There’s a pile of carrots lying in a greengrocer’s carrots, with a price card (1 kilo: £1)
Next to the greengrocer’s shop is a shop, called ‘posh lunch’ There is a small container of ‘posh carrot sticks’ for £1.50


4) Posh Lunches shop display window: Our new ham and cheese sandwich is made with extra brown bread!!! Next to the display is a menu board:

5) There’s a man standing with suitcase in hand, dishevelled look, loose tie, shirt half out and very tired, In front of him is a giant Tv with a chef saying: this super easy stew can be cooked in 2 hours only! There’s a clock on top of the Tv, showing the time: 8.30 PM


6) A man and woman sitting at dinner, with a can of baked beans and toast, In front of them there’s a TV programme with a chef saying: this simple recipe has only 25 ingredients!!


7) a curvaceous woman cookery show presenter on tv says : this fabulous chocolate cake will remind you of your grandmother. display on top: cooking time:1hr 20 min
