Description:	The Handshake.se beta dev website is up and running at http://www.handshake.se. It's a publication on the mobile business, online business, marketing, future research and entrepreneurship. Technical details: Handshake runs on WP2.5.1, OS X Tiger (client) and MySQL. Ad platforms: Tailsweep and Tradedoubler. Well documented CSS and code. The current problems are several, the following are most urgent to address: - load time - CSS improvements - login and registration function - SEO - some minor, yet important workflow issues Additional information submitted: 05/12/2008 at 8:28 EDT: Just to clarify: WP = Wordpress. The most important task right now is to take a look at the code/database in order to improve load time. Handshake loads slowly due to a script or similar. (Look at the load tracking in webkit web developer or similar function and address the issues.) The average load time is 10s, and should be <1s. You should be comfortable with Wordpres to undertake this task. Must not take more than 8 hrs. EXTREMELY URGENT! The second most important task is to aid us with the CSS. there is a special TODO-list for CSS-related fixes. Simple things, yet someone has to do it. I envision around 30 hrs here. URGENT! Third is to get the site ready for initial launch. There is a special list for this a swell. Registration function, SEO optimisation and such. I would believe 30 hrs would be enough. NOT SO URGENT. 05/12/2008 at 10:19 EDT: Project manger speaks Swedish, Russian and English. You will have the chance to revise your bids mon-thu next week. I will meet with our designer Wednesday and create a number of layered photoshop files for this purpose. There is a lot of work in this project and i think that many of you have placed interesting bids so far. Handshake.se is planned to launch in june and we will then continue with mobile integration, SMS services and community-based interaction for the members. This is the first time we work with external developers, everything you see at Handshake today is developed inhouse. what we figured now is that we dont have the skills to walk further with the development, we need a couple of plugins etc. Its better to ask professionals than to lose the strategic view on things... We hope to work with with several of you guys, so please send me PMs on what you really want to do - for example CSS, mobile, gravatars, BBPress, etc. I will then post direct offers offers for smaller modules $ 30-50. You will be able to bid on those if you dont get this initial deal.
