Description

Our Client, City Peugeot, an authorised Peugeot Dealer in Melbourne, is having a 3 day sale.

The dates of the sale are 23, 24, 25 October. (Includes Sunday - when they are not normally opened).

Need to design an exciting looking, yet really classy newspaper advertisement to market the event as well as an A4 letterbox flyer.

Final art will need to be able to be opened in CorelDraw. Individual elements will need to be separate so that they can moved around if needed.

Being a Peugeot dealer, there are some things that need to be observed, so as not to upset the manufacturer.

1/ Font family is Gill sans - can use light, normal, bold etc.
Gill needs to be used for all body copy and general headlines.
the exceptions are if a headline is an artistic creation, then can be different, but it would need to look like a special header panel or some sort of special illustrative design.

2/ The Base logo and address panel section needs to be consistent. Please see the client advert examples.
In every case, the square Peugeot Manufacturers logo has to be used. It also has to be at the bottom right corner of the text panel.

3/ The City Peugeot logo must be used and cannot be modified.



Client likes an elegant advert - not over crowded, but yet one that has a retail feel to it.
needs to be classy - yet invite people to come in and buy/test drive. With the use of well designed graphics/illustrative effects, this can be achieved.


The advert size that is used in the file:-
0100 Wed Age Peugeot T44 colr 27-08-08.pdf (also a Corel File )
is the correct size of advert to work to.

There is a PDF file called exqamples.pdf.

Purpose of this file is to show some of the kinds of artistic touches that may be considered good. Form this you will be able to draw some conclusions as to what effects to use.

Makin & Luby advert - right side - rectangular squares in different colours - is a nice touch - not fantastic, but okay.
Nissan Navara Titanium advert - the water effect is quite effective. Good use of creative illustration.
Knox Ford - Yarra Ranges Ford - the use of droplet looking illustration pieces has a nive effect - though the execution in this advert is not gtreat at all.
City Mazda advert - the ribbons hanging down the page is considered an effective use of illustration.
mazda M Day advert - considered to have a good use of iillustrative effectes - althoguh this kuch would be too heavy for a classy Peugeot dealer advert.
Mitsubish Driving Deals car number plate effect is half reasonable.

The file:

is considered by client to contain some good illustrative effects.

The File:
PMBE144233_Age12_B46.pdf
is also considered to be a good use of elegant layout. In fact the cleint is part of the dealers in the advert. The use of the red ribbon and the background illustration are seen to be quite effective.


What needs to be in the advert/what does it need to achieve.

1/ Inform quite clearly that there is a
3 DAY SALE

2/ Inform potential customers that this is THE TIME to come in for a fantastic deal.

3/ Show that there will be 6 Years Warranty on all new cars - that's double normal warranty.

4/ Free on-road costs (Free Dealer Delivery, Free Registration, Free Stamp Duty

5/ 12 months Free Scheduled Servicing on every new car sold

6/ Upgrade to 7 seater for half price

7/ Offer flex pack (see 2009-06-04 207140 PEU7003_SMH_20x11_V4.pdf advert for the flex pack detail).

8/ need to remind the reader about the 50% tax info which is shown in the last advert file mentioned above

(PMBE144233_Age12_B46.pdf).

9/ - Advise that thyey will have:
- Extra valuers on hand to provide the best trade-in valuations.
- The sale dates - October 23, 24 25
- Business managers will be on hand to provide the best finance packages

10/ For the purpose of this advert, please use the 308XSE $37,190 offer that is in the (PMBE144233_Age12_B46.pdf) advert.


Need to get 3 visuals to consider please in the size of the advert mentioned above, and will also need an A4 version for a letterbox

mailer.
