Description

Thank you for your interest in this project.

The task is to modify a given 3D model.

The winning bidder will be given a 3D model in .obj file format. A compass object has to be extracted from this file. It currently has about 12400 vertices and shall be simplified to less than half of it.
The file has to be delivered agin in obj file format (triangulated mesh, absolute indices). It shall be used in an embedded application, that's why it is currently too complex and thus too large.

The model is subject to copyright. The winning bidder will have to sign a non disclosure agreement to ensure existing copyrights. Please state in your bid if it is okay for you to sign the NDA. To get a clue about what has to be done, a picture of the model and the mesh views is attached.

If the work is done sucessfully I would like to offer more 3D editing jobs in the future.
