Description

Video editor required for promotional music video for established electronic music artist. The video will act as a promotional tool for the artist for the next 6-12 months via distribution both online and hardcopies to promoters and punters alike. The video will be incuded in a free release upon completion.

The music in question is very high energy, 155bpm 'rave' type genre and as such the video should match the music in style (EG: fast cuts and transitions). That being said the sucessfull bidder will have the creative license to add some flair and work with the artist directly on the concept.

Notes:
- Source material and gig footage shall be provided + logos, graphics and text as required. Footage located in Brisbane/Australia. If files are too large to upload to servers, hardcopies will be posted to winning bidders at the artists expense. Source material totals around 5mins with the editor to select the best pieces for use. The footage is of a non-professional quality, filmed by domestic recorders.

- The Editor would be required to source extra relevant footage to 'fill out' the video. The intent is for the video to promote the music, not the face behind the music and as such the provided footage should be used sporadically rather than constantly. Creative input welcome.

- Video to be around 2mins long, synched to provided a backing track (the artists latest release). The track is provided mastered, cut and faded as required. Aesthetically the track is split into 2 sections, half being 'build up' (little to no rhythm, rising to a crechendo), half being the track itself.

- Exemplars of existing videos in a similar style to the desired product can be provided to the successful bidder.

- Over the course of production the artist would need to be kept informed and updated on progress at pre-determined stages with draft versions of the video uploaded for feedback etc.

- The video will be given permission to be used by the winning bidder for use in portfolios and for promotion should they wish to do so.

As the video is quite short and most of the material is provided, it is assumed this task would be very strait forward for a suitable qualified and/or experienced individual. It would also be a chance to allos some creative flair into a project with the blessings of the artist for use as a portfolio piece.

There is postential for a range of future work from this artist should the final product prove successful.

Finally:
Winning bidder will be decided upon return from Overseas on December 9th with production to begin soon after upon reciept of source material. Please note whilst this listing may conclude earlier, December 9th will be the date of decision, not before.

Between November 19th and December 8th, limited communication will be available however we will endeavour to answer any questions whilst on the road.

Having never used this site before, this project is listed as 'trial'. Regardless, if a suitable bidder is found the project WILL be awarded.

I've done a lot of video editing for fun out of stuff my friends and I have shot most of it was low quality video so I don't have any examples on hand but I can guarantee a completed project two weeks from the date hired.
