Description

I am starting a small publishing company and am in need of a book formatter.

You are simply bidding on the price to format one (250) page book, so please note GAF that this does not need to be a "featured project".

However please be aware that I am looking for someone to help me start this company and work for me for a very long-time! In my mind, this is a career position that could lead to a rather large annual income (as we would like to pay you a normal salary as well as a commission bonus based on book sales) and quite a bit of professional prestige as well. You will be a valued member of our company and featured on our website as well.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

You will need to expertly format all of our books which are currently in either MSWord or pdf files, to prepare them for publication and printing through "Lightning Source (http://www.lightningsource.com)"

Please go to the Lightning Source website to familiarize yourself with the process. Read all of the pages under the "File Creation" heading and read and watch the tutorials as well.

You will need to do a perfect job on these as if you format the book wrong, the book will be printed wrong and our reputation as a quality publisher will suffer and you will not be paid.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

This is to be a Christian publishing compnay that only publishes Christian titles and we would therefore like to work with Christians, people who share our same goals and ideals.

We will however consider expert formatters of different faiths and we definitely do not care what country you come from, color you are, or language you speak if you can do the job well.
