Description

Need somebody who knows Microsoft Word mail merge very well to put together 35 sample mail merge documents. These need to be formatted to commercial quality. Some of these are for ID cards, achievement certificates, etc, so you need to understand MS Word page layout very well.

Templates are all different. I'll supply descriptions of each to the winning bidder. All are 1 or 2 pages long; some are letters, emails, labels (several up per page), badges, directories, invitations, etc. Templates will include photos, logos and/or graphics.

These are all mail merge templates and must have typical mail-merge variable fields inserted. Most of the photos/graphics must also be mail-merged, using the picture-merging add-in software which we'll supply. These are samples, so where applicable you must write some meaningful English sample text, not just “ipse lorum quorat…” babble. This doesn't have to be anything fancy, just something that makes sense and is correct English, e.g. sample sales letter would say “thank you for your recent purchase of our XYZ gizmo. We hope it will meet your expectations, but remember that you have a 1-year warrantee” and so forth.

Layouts must be simple enough that ordinary users can modify them for their own purposes. To help end users, these documents must have Word Annotations which explain how a user would typically modify the document for their own use, e.g. use different label size, add an extra photo, or whatever is appropriate for each document.

I'll provide some existing sample databases, photos and graphics that you can use, but you may choose to create some new ones if the examples require them.

All delivered documents must be Word XP/2002/2003 .doc format, using only standard (installed by Windows or Word) fonts. Formatting must use U.S. paper sizes (except e-mails). If you elect to create small sample merge databases, they must be .xls files. Any sample images must be public domain with detailed information about their source so that we can verify that they're truly public domain. Sample text will be checked for originality.

First deliverable will be for 5 samples to make sure we understand each other and you're up to the job, with the other 30 to follow immediately.
