You have set up a booth at the local job fair to generate interest in your new company and search for prospective employees.

• Create a one-page brochure describing your company's structure, business model, and culture.

• Write a 500- to 750-word paper in APA format describing the structure, business model, and culture you selected. Provide justification for why you selected each element and explain how your choice will impact your business.

Part 1. Design a brochure/hand out on one page. There are several steps you should take.

a. Decide what information you want to place in the brochure.

b. Make a list of those items remembering that the person reading the information has little or no knowledge of your company.

c. Think about information you would want and make sure it is included.

d. Create a format for the brochure. It does not have to be in a memo or paper form. You can be as creative as you like in organizing the various bits of information for best presentation.

e. Change type size, type face and even color to create a strong presentation on behalf of your company.

f. While the assignment calls for one page, there is no reason that you cannot use both sides of the page to provide space for the information needed. Just be sure you make clear which Is the primary side (side 1)

g. This is where you use short statements, one liners, and facts. A slogan or company logo is also appropriate.

h. Art work would also be appropriate. Even a boarder for specific information to make it stand out.

Part 2. APA formatted paper that covers the structure, business model and culture you have selected for your company. You need to discuss each of these areas and provide and explanation of how your choice will impact your business. You do not need to address the brochure in your paper. That is a separate part of the assignment, but you do need to provide a strong response to the elements questioned.

When ever writing about a business you should assume that the reader has little or no prior knowledge of your activity. You should therefore be very basic in your responses and give as much information, in as few words, as possible.


---The company for this brochure and article is a construction business. The name of the business is Smith's Construction. There are no specific requirements as to the information needed in the brochure and paper. Just follow the directions as instructed.
