Description

We are a student organization hosting a charity ball organized around the theme of Motown. We were hoping to include as part of our decorations four large (60 x 42 or bigger) fake billboards. Ideally, these would be styled to look like advertisements for upcoming performances (think Diana Ross and the Supremes, the Jackson 5, the Temptations, the Marvellettes, etc.) These billboards will be printed, framed, and hung. They should be eye-catching and fit in with the theme.

Please note that as this is a student-run event, we are only capable of offering a small honorarium. The event is a fundraiser for an AIDS charity, though, and we will be more than willing to act as a reference. Please include in your bid a sample of your work, preferrably related to this kind of project.

Hi there, I'm a freelance graphic designer from Birmingham, England. I work with a lot of charities and third sector organisations, so I understand the constraints of working within budget and have worked with similar organisations before. For the last charity I worked with, I also did several banners for events etc. During my degree (finished last year) I also specialised in advertising, so I'm used to that format and style, and I'm a huge motown fan, so the imagery is quite familiar to me!
