Description:	We are looking to engage the services required to create the foundations of a powerful and highly impactful new commercial website from scratch. We are not inviting one line replies, or overtures from anyone without the experience and capability needed to deliver. We will only consider engaging with people who can demonstrate a record of success working with sites of comparable complexity and a good record of client satisfaction. We are a genuine, bricks and mortar company, and we're ready to start immediately we find the right fit. The site we wish to build must be based on the latest Joomla foundations 1.5.3, for which we're already elected a template, and must only utilise fully supported and documented Joomla features, adding functionality where required via applets or custom-coded plug-ins. Our elected commerce engine is Virtuemart 1.1.1 which we require to be treated with the same sensitivity as the Joomla foundations. The graphically intense nature of the site dictates that we require experience with Flash FLV too. To be clear regarding the above, we will not accept any changes to the core or foundations of Joomla or the commerce engine. The site will need to be elegantly compatible across the latest browsers, warning where incompatible. Our site is intended to sell products in a multi-lingual B2B market situation. Initially, the site will offer, probably, fewer than twenty products. There are characteristics distinguishing our products from those competing with them that we wish to illustrate very graphically. Accordingly, the site will make very extensive, yet tastefully restrained use of animation, video content, and sound to deliver an immersive and rich experience and seamless, totally integrated navigation. A critical aspect of the site will be the integration of the commerce element. It is our wish that the commerce engine's functionality be presented within the rich content of the site. So, when a purchasing commitment is motivated, the user can elect to buy from within the rich content rather than being abruptly taken to the classical shopping cart. Purchasing formalities and payment should also be clearly presented at the commencement of the transaction in tabular form. It is a core requirement that we can manage the site with minimally technical people. Adding products and content, deleting it and so on. We will provide core content written and graphical and guidance regarding overall design in response to your design proposals. Our need therefore is primarily for competent coders who can deliver technically sound work in keeping with our requirements above. This work requires more than simple work with templates and Joomla setup and without proven coding experience it is not going to be possible to participate in this project. Initially, please respond with a list of at least three, and no more than five sites you have worked on, making it clear what your contribution was. Also submit an outline of the basis you seek regarding payment for our consideration. Applicants who are successful at this stage will then be asked to supply a client reference. Upon receipt we will make telephone contact with you to fully specify our needs and invite your quotation and delivery outline. Our decision on the basis of what we then receive will be made within two days and the work will be awarded.
