Description

I would like 2 small Excel Macros written

First Macro Exports each cell in a spreadsheet to a tree of small text files where column A2,A3,A4... through AX represents the directory name

Row B1,C1,D1...through X1 represents the file name

The resultant output will look like

Subdirectory1
File1.txt File2.txt File3.txt... FileX.txt

Subdirectory2
File1.txt File2.txt File3.txt... FileX.txt

Subdirectory3
File1.txt File2.txt File3.txt... FileX.txt
.
.
.
SubdirectoryX
File1.txt File2.txt File3.txt... FileX.txt

up to at least possible 1000 directorys and 20 possible text files with the XY range controllable in the macro

If a Cell is empty but falls within the macros XY range
it creates a empty file within the specified subdirectory

The second macro does the reverse of the above however, it imports the cells back into the spread sheet by reading each small text file contained in a like tree of directories/files where similar to the above the directorys are specified in column A2 through Ax, and the filenames are specified in row B1 through X1

Each Cell(/Text file) would probably never need to exceed 110 chars
Cell A1 would simply be blank or ignored
In macro 1 during the export to files it would be cool if the directory names are created if none exists however no prob if I would need to first create the corresponding directory names with a simple mkdir batch script.

Hello there, I have worked a lot with Excel VBA in the IT Department of the company I work in to automate repetitive processes and retrieve and pass data to and from databases. Looking at the project description I believe I can create, test and document the code for these two macros. Found this freelance site tonight when browsing internet and signed up to bid for my first freelance project ever. Don't have any ratings so looking to get started here. I won't let you down. Your sincerely Michael
