Please note all those who claim to be experts in Auto-CAD and have handled great electrical drawings have in fact no knowledge what electrical CAD means.They think everthing is Auto-CAD.Many organizations use Auto-CAD for their engineering drawing drafting because they have little knowledge how to generate electrical drawing using appropriate software. This being a dimension based package is suitable for civil and mechanical engineers only. While it comes to electrical and electronics drawing drafting, Auto-CAD is never suitable since logical parameters are more important rather than dimensions in electrical drawings.Auto-CAD electrical however is ok but unless one has mastery over it he will do it the same way as that of Auto-CAD.There are many other software sitting on Auto-CAD engine to handle electrical drawing more efficiently like Promis.E from Bentely the famous Microstation people.All those who claim to do it on auto cad electrical ask them how to get a logical navigational link between a relay coil ,its contacts and the rack panel by clicking any of them on the drawing.Ask them that if one changes a relay position from the rack 1 to rack 2 does it automatically correct all the drawing sheets? They will take years to answer these questions.

The bid amount is an average on what type of work exactly needs to be done. If converting the files is all it takes then piece of cake & can be done in less than a day. If they are drawings that need to be fine-tuned & cleaned up then it will take a day. But again, converting is a piece of cake & I have multiple programs to convert between that make it much easier & most people don't have access to.
