Description

We are putting a quote together for one of our customers. Part of the device will contain a “probe head” (PH). This will be made from a robust thermal plastic material that has a good shock resistance. The probe head will consist of 2 parts, the bottom (base) part will measure around L200mmxW150mmxH10mm and be elliptical in shape. This part will have 6 elongated holes that will accept brass rollers. The top part will measure around L200mmxW150mmxH100mmH, be elliptical in shape (like a rugby ball cut in half) and have a moulded handgrip at the top (all part of the same case).

I have a CNC milling machine that I can make the prototype cases with but im looking at having these parts made by injection moulding for the production parts. What I need from you is a price to make the mould’s (2 pieces) and produce low quantity plastic parts as described above. The orders would be for around 50 pieces (top and bottom) per order.

Can you please quote on the cost of this project and the lead-time for producing the first batch of 50 pieces?

3D cad drawings will follow after I get the go ahead from my customer.

I did quite a lot projects for automotive & consumer electronics plastic parts. This qoute is an apporoximate, since we need to go further in detail about this.
