Bid On This Project

Description

I'm looking for someone who can guide me which development board I should get for a small project. Must have a knowledge in development of embeded microcontrollers and writing the software. We have been thinking of using a PIC18 or 16 dev. board.
I would like to use a board which has an LCD for on board "commands and adjustments" like a selection key and ( + / - ) adjustments. It will have about 16 different modes in which the program can select from.

Basically is a microcontroller for an electric actuator. There are 8 inputs, one of the inputs is RPMs from a motor. 8 inputs and 1 output to control the actuator.

The software is pretty simple. Controller receives the inputs from the sensor and the motor's RPM. Then turn the actuator on or off. It will control the actuator depending on which sensor is activated. There will be 16 different possibilities.

Please look at information file for better understanding how the software works. The dark green boxes are the signal which will decide if actuator is on or off.

I would like to be able to scrow up and down though the situations and adjust which sensor would be on or off. Also, change the RPM values per situation.

Thank you for the interest.

Additional information:

Actuator Controller Software: The software must control the actuator (on/off), and give the user options to adjust the input signals.

Software;
** 16 different functions.
** 2 selection buttons ( escrow through the functions )
** 2 +/- adjustment buttons ( used to do fine adjustment, turn on or off inputs )

Board will have;
** 8 on/off inputs, 1 will read RPMs from a motor and use that information to control de actuator
** 1 output = controls de actuator
** 1 LCD

Thank you for the help.

Additional information submitted:

10/17/2009 at 19:33 EDT:
All I/O signals are analog. 7 are inputs type ( on or off ), 1 will be motor's RPM. Output will be on or off analog signal.

Additional files submitted:
actuatorcontroller.tiff

Yes, there is $250 for this project but you'll get the 60 day software development assistance through email. I think that this is the important part of your project and not the choosing of the development kit. I can make you a second offer: if the kit cost is under $100, i'll buy it myself too and for the rest of $150 we'll develop the software together. Best regards, Raimond

Hello, I can help you create this project with both PIC/AVR microcontrollers, sugest you compilator and full microcontroller - board simulation if needed before you decide to spend your money on a development board. I can finish the project probably in 2 dais but in order to teach you everithing will take more time depending on how fast you learn.

Hello, I am an experienced engineer working mostly with ARM-Cortex especially, PIC- all types including 24F and AVR uC's. I can help you with the right dev-board for your needs, but there is also the possibility to build-up your own dev-board to fit only your requirements. In all cases, I can help with the software and hardware design, schematic, layout. The sensor and motor types would be nice to know in order to have a good control. Regards, Miky
